Rate/Salary: £35,000 + Dependant on experience

HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have several permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor / Engineering Supervisor / Workshop Foreman to join a marine engineering company located in Falmouth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, ideally from a Shipwright / Engineering background.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
  2. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all marine vessels and equipment.
  3. Lead, manage, and motivate a team of marine technicians and engineers.
  4. Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets the highest quality standards.
  5. Deal with customers to understand their needs and provide technical advice and solutions.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant documentation and certification requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Level 3 NVQ minimum in marine engineering or a related field.
  2. Leadership and team management skills.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety policies.
  4. Must be able to travel to Falmouth.
  5. Hold a Full UK Driver's License.
