Job description

U-Drive are recruiting for a positive and proactive Workshop Service Advisor to join the support team at our highly reputable Poole Workshop. Working alongside a professional and close-knit team, you'll be the face of the business in dealing with all customer queries from quotes and bookings through to taking payment. You'll be working a 40-hour week on a rolling rota to include some Saturdays.

About The Role

As part of our Workshop Service Advisor team, you'll have day-to-day customer interactions, both face to face and through formal business communication (phone & email). This role will see you liaising with multiple Head Office departments alongside our Branches and members of the general public.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary individual in answering incoming phone calls for the department, always providing the exceptional level of customer service that is expected at U-Drive.
  • Field all incoming telephone, email and in-person enquiries with prompt response times, with a friendly and professional tone.
  • Take booking for MOT slots, managing the MOT booking system effectively and optimising MOT lane utilisation to maximise department efficiency and profitability.
  • Accurately input data and information into the booking system.
  • Processing of invoices and taking payments as appropriate.
  • Provide quotes for customers based on job requirements.
  • Check that Job Cards and Service Maintenance and Repairs are being raised and processed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Order parts from approved suppliers, keeping track of cost and availability.
  • Maintain and update Health & Safety records for the department, complying with regulations.
  • Maintain the office and reception space in a clean, tidy and customer-friendly way.

About You

Successful candidates should demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

  • You'll be a naturally sunny individual with strong problem-solving capabilities, whilst always providing a high-quality customer experience.
  • You'll have knowledge of managing various payment systems, including credit card payments, internet sales and cash handling.
  • You'll understand the importance of responding promptly and effectively to all customer queries, aiming to continually better the service and customer experience provided.
  • You'll have excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to communicate effectively and appropriately with a range of individuals in various working circumstances.
  • You'll be a proven team player with a can-do attitude and an honest and trustworthy nature.
  • You'll be comfortable prioritising tasks and managing multiple requests.
  • You'll be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
