The role
As a Workshop Provision Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. In this role you’ll be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a team of Provisioning Clerks in the ordering of a range of spares within the Babcock Defence Support Group (DSG) Procurement and Supply Function where you’ll manage the process and procedures for the new Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) system.

Day-to-day, you’ll own the process to ensure optimum spares availability, raising and managing orders to achieve the organisation’s service targets for both internal and external customers. You’ll also:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across all functional areas of the business with the intent of ensuring business system integrity and compliance
  • Support the hub to ensure operational reports regarding demand placement are optimised
  • Support the Material Planning Manager and Workshop Service Delivery Manager with the timely order placement of required buys to support key maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities and schedules
  • Liaise with the Site-Specific Warehouse Unit Application Administrators (UAA’s) in investigating and resolving discrepancy reports
  • Advocate that safety standards and requirements are being followed

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Donnington.

Essential experience of the Workshop Provision Coordinator:

  • Experience of managing and owning a process
  • Knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or MJDI is highly desirable
