Workshop Production Manager

The Role:
In this lovely hands-on role, you will be joining a long-established and renowned leader in the machine manufacturing industry. With a team of 8 people, you will be overseeing and optimising manufacturing operations ensuring efficiency, quality and continuous improvement. We need someone with a solid manufacturing and engineering background for this important role.

Your Day-to-Day Duties Include:

1. Oversee daily plant operations
2. Production planning, scheduling and execution
3. Ensuring utilisation of resources
4. Monitor and improve operations efficiency
5. Lead and develop your team ensuring an open collaborative environment
6. Identify areas for waste / cost reduction
7. Promote Health and Safety as a culture
8. Manage subcontractors and liaise with purchasing to ensure continuity of materials
9. Contribute effectively to management meetings and be integral in setting and working to department budgets

What We're Looking For:
We would like 5 years in a manufacturing/workshop production role; a machinery or engineering environment would be ideal. You will have the ability to question, challenge and improve the status quo. You will need to uphold a collaborative working environment and input into the business as a whole.
