This role can be 100% remote. Presence at an office in Staines is also very welcome.

Description
Workday HRIS Specialist role on an interim or FTC basis - you will play an integral role in advising, maintaining, and optimising the HR systems, primarily Workday.
Circa 75% of this role will focus on key Workday/HRIS projects, such as integrating a new global Payroll provider with Workday, implementing Absence Management, and working on two other key integrations.
The remaining 25% of the role will focus on the day-to-day management and support of Workday across the global employee population.
As a member of our Operations function, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our HR systems and processes. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with global internal stakeholders to understand business needs, identify gaps, and provide data-driven recommendations and solutions.
You will work closely with our Global HR team located across Europe, APAC, and the US, to meet annual goals and prioritise projects.
Responsibilities
Collaboration & Strategy:
- Work closely with teams across Human Resources, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, Internal Communication, Enterprise IT, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to identify and address strategic needs, risks, and opportunities.
- Recommend strategies and solutions to meet functional requirements.
HR Software Evaluation:
- Conduct opportunity studies and develop business cases to evaluate potential HR software solutions.
Support & Process Improvement:
- Partner with branch HR teams to support their objectives, identify process improvements, and enhance existing methods.
- Communicate and train local HR teams on new processes and procedure improvements.
System Implementation:
- Contribute to the implementation of new HRIS systems and software integrations.
- Provide insights and recommendations on best practices for configuring HCM systems (Workday) and other HR tools to align with business needs.
Ongoing HR System Administration:
- Configure and maintain business processes, notifications, and HR security controls.
- Design and develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making and track trends.
- Conduct regular data accuracy audits and recommend improvements based on research and testing of new functionalities.
- Manage Workday Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for mass data loads.
- Assist HR and department managers with Workday usage and address any related questions or concerns.
Training & Support:
- Provide training and support to users to ensure effective utilisation of HR systems.
Profile
A successful Workday HRIS Specialist should have:
- Strong experience in an HR/HRIS Analyst role.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with the back-end of Workday.
- Broad functional experience in Workday modules - ideally to include Human Capital Management (HCM), Recruiting, Security, Reporting, and Advanced Compensation.
- A familiarity in Studio, Payroll, Absence Management, and Time Tracking modules would also be advantageous.
- Any experience working on integration projects would be beneficial.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience of proactively using the Workday Community to remain informed on upcoming releases and research to resolve issues.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client relationship management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience dealing with employees, business partners, and cross functional team members.
- Available at short notice and able to commit to the 7-month assignment duration.
