We have an exciting opportunity for a Wildlife Education Officer with a qualification in an animal-related subject or relevant experience to join our Wildlife and Conservation Park here at our York campus. This role will be working on a summer seasonal contract, working a 5-hour day over our busiest period, from the end of June until the end of August for 10 weeks. The role covers 7 days a week, which can be split amongst the successful candidates.
We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for creating a positive visitor experience, front of house duties, visitor engagement, animal talks, and experiences for our visitors to the park. Sector experience and knowledge specifically in Wildlife Conservation will be beneficial.
The successful candidate will:
Educated to a level 2 or above (relevant experience will also be considered), with excellent knowledge of wildlife conservation and animal welfare. This is a great opportunity for those looking for more experience or between studying in a gap year.
All tasks are to be carried out in a consistent manner with the corporation’s culture.
