F/T Lead Audio Visual Technician (A/V)
Days: Monday-Friday.
Time: (2nd Shift) 1 pm-8 pm.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for leading a team of workers in performing field installation projects of interactive boards/Panel/Projectors and peripheral equipment including delivery to work sites and offsite trash removal. Will assist and manage performance of employees and/or subcontractor personnel. Team leader position provides the opportunity to refine the basic skills gained through by acquiring additional skills through experience in order to qualify for advancement to the intermediate level of Field Project Manager.
Job Description:
Selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Supervises communications with Vendors and Customers for installation readiness, deployments, and other project related services in accordance with applicable Statement of Work. Supervises assigned project personnel at customer locations while striving to achieve the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
- Creates and distributes status reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling to primary customer as required.
- Communicates project status and shares project information with superiors and assigned project personnel on a need-to-know basis.
- Participates in and represents Company in strategy/project meetings with customer and, if necessary, customer’s client.
- Displays a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude as an essential function of this position.
- Unpack and inventory equipment base BOM.
- Comfortable working with hand tools such as: power drills, hammer drill, hammers, screw drivers (flat head/phillips) and etc.
- Install Audio Visual cabling to various A/V equipment and controls in the Classroom.
- Installation of wall mounted Interactive Boards/projectors/speakers/flat panels.
- Adjust/Test and Calibrate.
- Provide and install backer board (required when mounting to drywall and steel stud wall construction).
- Worker must be able to lift up to 75lbs. over an 8-hour day.
- Asset Reporting.
- Reviews Subcontractor invoices for accuracy and approval for payment.
- Coordinates and tracks any missing components of the client’s shipments. Reports claims to eBryIT Corporate office for insurance purposes and provides all incident information.
- Communicates with eBryIT supervisor, making them aware of any billing discrepancies with vendor and/or customers with project related business.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to different school sites.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experienced using standard power tools, running cables/wires, hanging and mounting items to a wall/ceiling and lifting up to 75 pounds over an 8-hour day.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; and
Minimum of two years of installation experience of which at least one year is progressively responsible, relevant project experience.
Preferred: Background in dealing with project administration, managing A/V equipment installations and/or A/V work at customer sites.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Principles, practices, and methods of installation projects. Working knowledge of database programs is preferred. Clear understanding and interpretation of Statement of Work documents. Working knowledge of A/V wiring preferred. Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools. Basic to intermediate construction knowledge.
SKILL AT:
Planning, coordinating, and managing field installation projects; assisting lower levels in problem solving, etc. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Intermediate to high level of PC technical skills required. Good communications skills required. It is essential for incumbent to have the ability to work independently with guidance to prioritize and complete tasks as per defined deadlines. Attention to detail a must. Strong interpersonal skills essential.
