The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. We work to promote public confidence in the democratic process and ensure its integrity.
We focus on the issues that affect Wales and oversee all areas of work relating to electoral events that take place in Wales. This includes the annual household canvass of electors, elections to the Senedd, UK Parliament, Police and Crime Commissioner and local government elections.
The Electoral Commission has a statutory duty to comply with the Welsh Language Standards, created in line with the Welsh Language Measure (2011). Welsh Language Support Officer – The Role:
Working as part of a small team, the post-holder will have responsibility primarily for supporting the Welsh Language Unit within the Commission on a number of different areas to help us meet with the commitments set out in the statutory Welsh Language Standards.
