Job Description

Cpl Healthcare, in collaboration with our Travel Health client, is seeking an experienced nurse to join their team at the new Dublin clinic. This exciting role offers the opportunity to provide a wide range of travel health and occupational health services, following their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Role Overview:

As a Travel Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive risk assessments, travel health advice, vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis, and other travel-related or occupational health services. You will work to ensure high-quality care while utilizing the latest client software to maintain accurate records and stay updated with current information. Effective communication within the team and ensuring a safe, professional clinical environment are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide travel health and occupational health services in line with SOPs
  2. Deliver risk assessments, advice, and vaccinations tailored to the needs of individual patients
  3. Prescribe malaria prophylaxis and other relevant travel or occupational health medicines
  4. Utilize client software for up-to-date information and record-keeping
  5. Maintain clear and effective communication within the team
  6. Ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment for both staff and patients

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Registered Nurse
  2. Evidence of ongoing professional development
  3. IV Cannulation and phlebotomy experience and competencies
  4. Ability to make independent and supported decisions
  5. Knowledge and commitment to evidence-based best practices

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Diploma in Infectious Diseases
  2. Full, valid driving license
