We are looking for someone who is passionate about communities, with a good understanding of older people and the challenges that can arise in later life.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled person to join our talented staff team helping older people in Rotherham improve their wellbeing through a ‘Community Circles’ approach.
We are an independent local charity, affiliated to the Age UK network, working with and for older people across Rotherham. Our work focuses around what local older people say matters most to them:
This project has been funded through The National Lottery Community Fund for 3 years.
Hours: 30 hours per week
Fixed term contract to 31st March 2028
Salary: AUKR Scale 24, £14.03 per hour, £25,538.28 pro rata per annum
This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in the development, delivery and evaluation of this project. You will use our ‘Community Circles’ approach as a way to improve the mental, physical and social wellbeing of local people throughout later life.
We hope to reach those who can benefit most, including those who are older, frailer, from BAME communities or have existing poor mental health. This programme will use both paid staff and volunteers to help people build personalised support circles to improve their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
