Qualifications

  • 3+ years of MIG welding experience with NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.

Job description

Are you an experienced Welder looking for an exciting new challenge? Kingspan Water and Energy, a world-class rotational moulding company, is seeking a skilled professional to join our team at our Gilford Road site. If you have a passion for precision engineering, problem-solving, and maintaining high-quality standards, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our moulds and tooling. This multi-functional role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, quality, and product compliance.
  • Conduct regular quality and safety checks to support a safe working environment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on all moulds on-site.
  • Carry out full inspections of tools, including parting lines, clamps, hole formers, and breathers.
  • Fabricate frameworks/spiders for tooling as per specifications.
  • Conduct shot peening and cleaning of moulds.
  • Support production with tooling issues, including breakdowns, failures, and replacements.
  • Report all changes made to moulds to the line manager.
  • Actively participate in corrective actions from concerns or internal audits.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by Operations Management.
What We're Looking For:
  • NVQ Level 3 Fabrication & Welding or City & Guilds qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in MIG welding.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer application knowledge.
  • Experience in Aluminium & TIG welding.
  • Previous mould repair work.
  • Previous lathe work experience.
  • GCSEs (Grade C or above) in English, Maths & Science.
