Welder Prepper

Job Title: Welder Prepper

Location: Tamworth

Job Type: Temp to Permanent

Rate: £13.00 per hour PAYE, increasing to £14.00 per hour after 13 weeks

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-15:30, Friday 07:00-14:00

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder Prepper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Welder Prepper Responsibilities:
  1. Operate and monitor machinery in accordance with production requirements
  2. Manipulate metals and prep them for welding
  3. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machines to ensure proper function
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime
  5. Ensure health and safety compliance
The Welder Prepper should have the following skills and experience:
  1. Previous experience in machine operating, ideally in Break press, plasma cutters, guillotines
  2. Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  3. Ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions
