Grantham - £28,000 to £30,000 + onsite parking + 25 days holiday, excluding public holidays

We are seeking an experienced TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to progress within a forward-thinking company.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Welder to join a leading business dedicated to delivering quality products across the agriculture, aggregate, construction, waste management, and haulage industries.

Operating from their state-of-the-art Grantham manufacturing site, the company offers cutting-edge engineering and fabrication, ensuring top-tier quality from start to finish.

As a Welder, you will be responsible for a variety of fitting and TIG/MIG welding tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with proven experience in mechanical work, as well as a demonstrated ability to fault-find and solve problems in various settings, such as electrical, automotive, industrial maintenance, power generation, or production lines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. TIG and MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
  2. Reading and working from engineering and fabrication drawings
  3. Fabricating components, including marking out, sawing, drilling, shearing, and fettling
  4. Ensuring adherence to health & safety procedures in all tasks
  5. Assisting with other duties as required by management

Essential Skills & Experience

  1. Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding
  2. Strong background in metal fabrication
  3. Ability to work from engineering drawings
  4. Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  6. Experience in robotic welding cell programming or laser welding (desirable but not essential)
