Job description

Welder / Fabricator required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of bespoke machinery based in the Basingstoke, Hampshire area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator with experience with TIG welding on stainless steel sheet material.

Welder / Fabricator - Sheet Metal Job Overview

1. Carrying out TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel sheet materials between 1 - 3mm.
2. Working in line with production schedules and deadlines.
3. Setting up and operating fabrication equipment.
4. Implementing continuous improvements within the manufacturing department.
5. Reading, creating and interpreting welding drawings.
6. Maintaining the factory and onsite equipment.
7. Complying with the health and safety policies.

Welder / Fabricator - Sheet Metal Job Requirements

1. Previous experience with TIG & MIG welding on stainless steel sheet materials.
2. Based in a commutable distance of Basingstoke, Hampshire.
3. High attention to detail.
4. Experience with fabrication machinery such as press brakes, plasma cutters and rollers.
5. Ability to read engineering drawings.

Welder / Fabricator - Sheet Metal Salary & Benefits

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
Working hours: 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday. Friday 08:00 - 15:00. 37.5 hour working week.
30 days holiday, including bank holidays. Increasing with tenure.
