Fabricator / Welder - Corby - night shift

Location: Corby

Position: Full-time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Shift: 4 on 4 off, nights 18:00 - 06:30

About the Role:

Excel Industrial is seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join the team. This role involves ongoing repairs and modifications to the fleet, along with occasional larger fabrication projects. As a Fabricator / Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet remains in top condition through expert welding, fabricating, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fabricate steel components and weld steel and aluminium of varying thicknesses and quality.
2. Perform repairs including grinding, welding, and cutting.
3. Adhere to company Health and Safety standards and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
4. Accurately complete all job cards, service reports, and inspection sheets.
5. Follow parts order procedures, handle warranty claims, and manage exchange items.
6. Meet customer requirements by delivering high-quality workmanship.
7. Treat all customer and company vehicles, property, and workshop tools with care and attention at all times.

Person Specification:

1. Previous experience in repairing/fabricating truck bodies and trailers.
2. Qualified and time-served as a welder fabricator.
3. Essential: MIG Welding experience.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
6. Full UK Driving licence.
