My Client is a well-established, industry-leading Engineering company. Based in County Durham, they have seen year-on-year success, with further growth plans for 2021. They offer a range of services from Design through to Manufacturing. This has given the company opportunities to service a multitude of sectors, with a diverse client base stretching across the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Welder / Fabricator to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

Your primary responsibility is to fabricate from engineering drawings.

Welder / Fabricator Main Duties:

  • Being quality focused and able to work on own initiative
  • Using hand tools; rivet guns, drills, insert machines
  • MIG / TIG welding
  • Grinding and dressing
  • Working with stud weld
  • Working from technical drawings
  • Liaising with the office on new drawings
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times

Welder / Fabricator Role Requirements:

  • Time Served MIG/TIG Welder
  • Experience with sheet metal
  • Engineering manufacturing background
  • Ability to inspect own work
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings
  • Numerically able to work out measurements
  • Flexibility with regards to shifts and overtime
