Your Day-to-Day Duties in the Role

You will be involved in MIG and TIG welding and fabrication of components.

Experience/Skills and Education Requirements

Desirable:

1. Welding Carbon Steel from 6mm up to 150mm
   • Heavy plate MIG welding experience is critical; some of our machined joints may take up to 60 weld passes over a distance of 3m.
   • TIG welding experience is beneficial.
   • Working to strict WPS under close supervision.
   • Coded to BS EN 9606.
   • Using an overhead crane.
   • All work produced must be capable of passing UT, MPI, and visual inspection.
   • Grinding, gouging, and polishing.
   • Knowledge of pre-heating methods.
   • Knowledge of preparing root welds with ceramic backing.
   • Will be required to undertake and pass a security background check.
   • Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post.

Hours of Work

• The role is on days.
• The work is on a permanent basis.

Salary and Benefits

• Rate is GBP 17.30.
