Job Opportunity: Experienced Sheet Metal Worker

Location: Haslingden, Rossendale
Type: Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Welder/Fabricator Sheet Metal Worker to join a leading supplier of commercial equipment. With over 20 years of expertise in manufacturing high-quality stainless steel equipment, this role offers a chance to work within an established team producing technical drawings and plans for the catering industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately interpret and follow CAD drawings to ensure precise and efficient work.
  2. Operate sheet metal working tools and equipment, including Guillotine and CNC brake press.
  3. Perform spot-welding, grinding, and finishing to a high standard.
  4. Weld canopies and parts, minimizing the polishing process through high-quality execution.
  5. Prepare welded parts (sanding) for the polishing process.
  6. Assemble sub-assemblies using pre-folded panels.
  7. Provide feedback to the Manufacturing Supervisor on anomalies, such as inaccuracies in drawings or quantities.
  8. Maintain self-discipline, including adherence to dress codes, timekeeping, and company directives.
  9. Keep production areas tidy and organized.
  10. Conduct routine maintenance of machinery and hand tools.
  11. Practice excellent housekeeping standards.

Preferred Experience:
  1. Operating a press brake.

Working Hours:
  1. Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours per week).
  2. Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and agreed morning/afternoon breaks.

Benefits:
  1. Competitive salary starting from £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience).
  2. 33 holidays per year (inclusive of bank holidays).
