Major Recruitment is excited to partner with a prominent international automotive business with a large Factory in Baildon/Shipley. This industry leader specializes in manufacturing Engine Cooling Systems for Off-Highway Vehicles.

Due to an increase in workload, the business is looking for Welders to join the factory team on a long-term ongoing basis. Commutable from Bradford and West Leeds.

As a Welder, your responsibilities will be:

• Work in a dynamic factory environment.
• Operate advanced machinery and heavy-duty industrial equipment.
• Showcase your exceptional skills in TIG or CMT Welding.
• Demonstrate your expertise in manual handling.
• Prioritize safety and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Follow plans & manufacturing processes.
• Handle potentially heavy items and a variety of tools.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience of TIG or CMT Welding.
• Proficiency in manual handling, with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
• Strong work ethic, ensuring punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Effective timekeeping.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working hours:

Weekly alternating:

Week 1: Monday-Thursday: 6am-2pm, Friday: 6am-11:00am

Week 2: Monday-Thursday: 2pm-10pm, Friday: 11:00am-4:00pm

Pay:

Starting pay is £14.83 per hour during the probation period, raising to £15.12 after 12 weeks.
