Job description

Job Title: TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator
Location: Staines
Salary: £32 - 34,500 Per annum
Job Type: PERM

Working Hours: Monday to Friday day shift

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MIG/TIG Welder to perform a wide range of welding and fabrication tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalwork, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, setting up welding equipment, and ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities of the TIG/MIG Welder:

  1. Fabrication: Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to fabricate metal components, structures, and assemblies.
  2. Welding: Perform TIG/MIG welding on various metals including mild steel and stainless steel, ensuring strong, accurate welds.
  3. Fabricating using tools such as Press break, Saw, Bender, Guillotine, etc. from engineering drawings.
  4. Tack and finish TIG and MIG weld stainless steel products/sheet and box section as well as occasional mild steel work.
  5. To liaise with the designer to ensure that work carried out is accurate, resolving issues as they arise.
  6. Must be able to weld thin and thick gauge material.
  7. To be available for evening and weekend work when the business requires it.
  8. Supporting other Employees as required and if you are safe/trained to do so.
  9. Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace and reporting any faults/hazards, in accordance with Company Health and Safety requirements.
  10. Any other duties determined by the Team Leader / Production Manager, or any other member of the Manufacturing Management Team.
