Welcome & Service Assistant - Stourbridge
Summary
As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: 12.75 per hour
Contract duration: Fixed term contract until 10-Oct-2025
Hours/working pattern: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You'll work 845 hours over the duration of the contract, and on average, you'll work 2 days a week during term time and 3 days a week during school holidays but again, this will be flexible depending on operational demand.
Your normal working days will be Monday - Friday but there is an expectation to support at weekends and bank holidays if required. A typical day would be 9:30am - 5:00pm.

Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you'll be part of a small but fun and friendly team based at one of the National Trusts most unique properties, Kinver Edge & the Rock Houses. Welcoming visitors to this intriguing place, sharing how they can get the most out of their visit and what they can enjoy after their visit on the wider Edge.
It can be very busy but equally there may be quiet days so you'll need to be able to work well in both scenarios. The property is across 3 levels, including steep slopes and steps and the role involves accessing all levels. We're also a dog friendly property.

Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.
You'll be responsible each morning for opening the property in preparation for visitors, including opening the rock houses, visitor reception, bookshop, getting out signage, checking presentation levels, setting up the till etc. At the end of the day, you'll be expected to close down all areas, clean the visitor facilities and cash up.
