Weighbridge Operator and Logistics Coordinator

Site Weighbridge Operator / Logistics Coordinator required in Glasgow. £25K – £30K, Benefits, Great prospects,Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday mornings), Permanent, Immediate start available.

Our client isa global leader in recycling / sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging converting operations and 62 paper mills.

The Weighbridge Operator / Logistics Coordinator willcoordinate logistic movements in and out of the busy Glasgow Depot and associated general administrativeduties to include operation and administration of the weighbridge data entry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To liaise with depot haulage business partners to plan and book inbound and outbound deliveries and collections on to the depot
• Ensure all visiting drivers are briefed and comply with site safety rules
• Ensure accurate & compliant recording of load weights of all vehicle movements in / out of the depot
• Capture and input data collated by the Quality Control team
• Coordinate the traffic flow on and off the site, in line with the site Traffic Management Plan
• Record the receipt of goods / services via SAP
• Co-ordinate and administer sales loads ensuring compliant documentation in line with UK regulatory requirements and Export Law
• Ensure all phone calls are handled in a professional and courteous manner
• Assist with Depot month end reporting
• Liaise with other depots / commercial teams / finance department / othersto share knowledge, resolve queries and ensure the accuracy of input and output
• Monitor vendor weights and advise of discrepancies/irregularities weights are received
• Control of contractor movements onto the site

• Experience with Microsoft Navision and SAP beneficial but not essential, demonstrate good working knowledge of Excel
