We are delighted to share that we are searching for a Weekend Shift Operator to join our team in at Diageo Leven!

Salary of £28,888.16 Plus a competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

This dynamic role is based in Vat Room 1 & 2 and holds the responsibility of carrying out final preparations for a great many of our iconic brands, such as Gordon's, Tanqueray, Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker and Captain Morgan's. This is a fantastic, highly important position within the Leven Site Operation, and a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and committed person to grow their career with Diageo!

About the role

As a Weekend Shift Operator in our dedicated team at Leven Spirit Supply, you’ll play a pivotal role in the ordering and processing of both Whisky and White Spirits in our bottling hall.

You’ll collaborate closely with all departments within the function to ensure this is done optimally. Being able to understand a production programme and order spirit to fulfil it while being adaptive to change is essential.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensuring spirit is available and in specification for production.
  • Through planning of spirits, you will ensure the demands of both the business and our customers is met.
  • Proactively lead on performance analysis that drives improvement actions and address adverse performance trends.
  • Driving delivery and supervision of Key Performance Indicators and targets such as quality.

The role is WEEKEND ONLY shifts over:

  • Friday: 1 PM – 7 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 7 AM – 7 PM

About You

Our ideal candidate is someone who can work well within a team as well as have the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can tackle problems. You must be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and new opportunities. Having a keen eye for detail, as well as a positive and proactive approach to meeting the needs of a fast-paced environment will serve you well.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A sound understanding of SAP, CE2 and spirit processing.
  • Proven knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles is helpful.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the plant.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly.
  • Sound IT skills including automated production recording and management reporting systems.
