Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer with expertise in WordPress and Zendesk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our digital platforms while ensuring seamless integration, functionality, and user experience. This role is crucial in driving our online presence and delivering exceptional user support experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize our WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins.
  • Implement and configure Zendesk to streamline customer support workflows and enhance the user experience.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate ideas into responsive and visually appealing web pages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website performance issues, including speed optimization and mobile responsiveness.
  • Integrate third party APIs and tools into WordPress and Zendesk as needed.
  • Conduct regular updates, backups, and security checks for WordPress and Zendesk systems.
  • Optimize SEO performance to increase web traffic and search rankings.
  • Monitor and report on website analytics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in web development, WordPress, and Zendesk.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience developing and managing WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins.
  • Hands-on experience with Zendesk configuration and workflow customization.
  • Familiarity with web hosting platforms, domain management, and SSL setup.
  • Proficiency with SEO best practices and tools like Google Analytics and Search Console.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of other CMS platforms or frameworks.
  • Experience with REST APIs and webhooks.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles.
  • Understanding of accessibility and web compliance standards.
