Web Designer

As a Web Designer, you will report to the Web & Digital Lead and play a key role in designing a wide range of digital solutions including wireframes, websites, emails and web-based documents. This role offers the chance to work on exciting projects for a portfolio of big-name brands including RAC, Sainsbury’s Bank, and Virgin Money. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong web design skills and excellent attention to detail.

What will I do in the role?

• Create, design and build engaging, visual, and interactive user experiences across all digital devices
• Work alongside our brand partners to ensure designs are consistent with design & brand guidelines
• Get involved in our conversion rate optimisation strategy where you will be trained to run a variety of A/B and web personalisation tests to boost user engagement across our web platforms
• Work with business analysts to ensure user experience designs are understood to enable requirements and solutions to meet the design

What do I need?

• Good experience as a web designer is preferable
• A portfolio of previous web design projects would be highly beneficial. If you have one, we would love to see examples of your work to better understand your design style and expertise.
• Good experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Ability to hand code HTML and CSS
• Ability to update and manage Bootstrap build web platforms including previous versions
• Understanding of user-centred design methodology and UI & UX design experience across mobile and web
• Ability to communicate ideas in a clear and effective manner
• Excellent organisation and a keen eye for detail
• Able to work to deadlines
