We are looking for a Part Time Legal Cashier

We are looking for a part time legal cashier to join our friendly team with availability for 2 days a week, with the potential to increase hours in the future. Hybrid working is an available option.

Previous legal cashier experience is essential along with a good working knowledge of the SRA accounts rules and strong computer skills – Xero/Leap is an advantage, but full training will be given.

The successful candidate will be in a team of two, reporting directly to the Accounts Manager and will be supporting the day-to-day running of the cashiering function, adhering to the firm’s policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliance with SRA rules.

  • Maintaining and reconciling client accounts in accordance with SRA rules
  • Maintaining and reconciling office accounts
  • Completion of quarterly VAT return
  • Preparation of reports and schedules in relation to month-end and year-end
  • Liaising with external accountants
  • Ensure client office receipts and payments are processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Preparation of cash flows and other management information as required
  • Assist the firm in complying with AML, COFA and COLP requirements
  • Assisting with PII, insurance and practice certificate renewal
  • Hours of work are 9.30-5.30 and hybrid working arrangements can be considered.
