An established industry player is seeking a Water Quality Technical Coordinator to enhance water quality across supply networks. This role involves leading investigations, collaborating with field technicians, and influencing water quality policies. The Water Quality Technical Coordinator will be a key member of the Supply Water Quality team, taking the lead in planning water quality root cause investigations and related customer contact rates while having the ability to present the information in a format suitable for inclusion in company documents and reports.
The role influences the Water Quality policy for the business throughout the current AMP. You will work closely with the Field Technicians and other key stakeholders, across Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire to gather information to confirm 'hot spots' of discolouration and provide information to be included as supporting evidence and information for future investment in the water supply network.
You will promote best practices for the management and improvement of water quality across the water supply network. A major part of this role will be planning non-intrusive work on critical mains whilst maintaining the security of supply which is paramount.
You will also have to show care to minimise distribution for our customers and the wider supply network, while also communicating the programme of work to all relevant departments.
You need to be a strong and motivated team player who is proactive, practical and a great problem solver. You will be able to make decisions whilst also being able to provide flexible cover within the team.
To be successful, you will be a confident communicator with strong customer and liaison skills. You will also be able to develop and influence new ways of working, working both independently and as part of a team and managing your own workload, ensuring it is completed to set timescales.
