Job description

Job Title: Water Hygiene Technician

Location: Glasgow / Edinburgh

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 45 Hours Per Week

Salary: £32,141 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment (1:4 x 13 Periods) + Overtime + Travel Time)

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Water Hygiene Technician to assist in the delivery of an effective national water hygiene service to ensure City Facilities Management meets its statutory responsibilities and provides safe working environments for employees, clients and those affected by our undertaking.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out and complete Retail site specific Legionella Control Measure audits & reports.
  2. Monitor Refrigeration water related (L8) task completion.
  3. Monitor and record appropriate hot and cold temperatures.
  4. Appropriately sample as risk assessed CWST's, cold outlets and hot water systems.
  5. Ensure any remedial work required relating to ACoP L8 or Water Regulations is reported through company process and procedures.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential
  1. GCSE standard.
  2. Knowledge/ experience in the Legionella / Water Field.
Specialist Requirements
  1. Degree of flexibility required. Overnight stays away from home as operationally necessary.
  2. Potential to be asked to work in other areas of the UK.
  3. Full Driving Licence is essential.
