Salary: 54,000 + Car Allowance + 20% Annual Bonus

What you'll be doing:
- Maintain compliance with current safety and environmental legislation, including waste management regulations and environmental permits.
- Implement and oversee health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and manage site security for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Control the process of receiving, treating, transferring, and storing waste in accordance with environmental permits and relevant legislation.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment, and mobile machinery in line with company procedures and legislative requirements.
- Oversee site staff, conduct performance reviews, provide training, and handle HR-related processes within the role's authority level.
- Manage and deliver business goals in alignment with employee and client contracts, including day-to-day operations and productivity maximization.
- Maintain existing client relationships, identify commercial opportunities, and promote Veolia's reputation within the local community.
- Compile and manage all necessary internal and external documentation, reports, and communications in accordance with business needs and regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Management qualification
- Experience in the waste management industry at a leadership level would be advantageous
- Knowledge of waste, Environmental and health and safety legislation
- Previous experience of managing large teams
- The ability to work towards financial targets
