Warehouse Transport Operations Manager

Minster is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, on the hunt for an Operations Manager (Warehouse/Transport) who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours – 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing a team of 4 Warehouse Operatives and 5 Drivers
2. Ensuring all team members are prepared and ready for their day
3. Running the transport operations for the branch - load planning and delivery routes
4. Supporting the Branch Manager with operations: driver and warehouse staff health and safety compliance
5. Directly supporting the warehouse team with preparing and loading/unloading orders when necessary (forklift training provided)
6. Providing an excellent level of service for all customers
7. Checking incoming deliveries and reporting missing or damaged products
8. Maintaining stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts and producing reports on stock management for the branch
9. Keeping the branch looking clean and tidy and making Health & Safety a priority
10. Working with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Required Skills and Experience

1. Previous industry experience is beneficial
2. Experience within warehouse and transport management
3. Confident in a hands-on, sometimes physical role
4. Flexible with a positive can-do attitude
