Warehouse Team Leader

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a growing company that supplies both equipment and workwear from school uniforms to tents and we're looking for an Operations / Warehouse Team Leader to join the team.

This is a hands-on, full-time and permanent role, perfect for someone self-motivated who is ready to take ownership, lead a small team, and put their own stamp on the place. You will be reporting directly to yours truly, and we are keen to bring someone on board who is looking to grow with us.

A bit about the role:

You will be leading a small team of Warehouse and Production Operatives, keeping everything running smoothly and making sure our orders go out right, on time, every time. You will get involved in both sides of the business, so there is plenty of variety to keep things interesting.

What you will be doing:

• Learning the ropes: Get to know the ins and outs of the business, understand why we do what we do, and help make it even better.
• Leading by example: Support and guide your team, while staying hands-on with day-to-day tasks.
• Managing stock: Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Driving improvements: Join team discussions, contribute ideas, and help shape the way we work.
• Mentoring: Support the team's growth through training and day-to-day encouragement.
• Staying flexible: Pitch in wherever needed; things move fast, and we work together to get the job done.

What we are looking for:

• Someone organised, practical and responsible.
• A positive personality who fits into a small, friendly team.
• A natural leader, happy to roll up their sleeves.
• Someone who is motivated to learn and grow with us.
• FLT Reach experience is a bonus, but no licence needed; we will train you.
• Some experience with WMS is useful, but not essential.
