Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor – Trafford Park – Up to £35,000

Our client is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team in Trafford Park, Manchester.

The successful individual will supervise the warehouse team and assist with daily operations, ensuring work follows company procedures, legal requirements (including Health & Safety), and satisfies client needs while contributing to company profit.

Job type: Permanent

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
• Saturday morning overtime if/as and when required. (£75 per shift)

Salary:

• Up to £35,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to fulfill their freight needs, including picking orders, providing quotes, and meeting traffic requirements.
• Process warehouse picks using the warehouse management and transportation systems.
• Load, unload, and store cargo, ensuring it’s packed as per customer instructions and without damage.
• Ensure shifts are adequately staffed, covering absences such as holidays or sickness.
• Manage operational costs and warehouse equipment usage effectively.
• Meet service and profit targets according to department budgets.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Lead and motivate the team, ensuring they meet targets and perform at their best.
• Train and coach team members on procedures, legal requirements, and best practices.
• Prioritize tasks to achieve the best results with available resources.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Resolve customer queries, complaints, and operational issues promptly.
• Report the department’s needs to management.
• Help develop and maintain business by building strong customer relationships and supporting management.
• Ensure both company and client needs are met effectively.
• Foster good relationships within the team to improve performance and collaboration.
• Identify and address training needs for team members.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar for a logistics company.
• UK Based with Right to Work in the UK.
• Valid Reach and FLT (Forklift Truck) license required.
