Monday-Friday 8am-6pm - Must be willing to cover weekends/bank holidays and other shifts when required

I am currently working with a reputable fulfilment centre based in Paddock Wood which is looking to hire a dedicated and highly experienced Warehouse Supervisor for their team permanently.

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead the goods-out team, overseeing inventory, order processing, distribution, and performance while facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Set and monitor team KPIs to ensure targets are met
2. Host daily meetings with the warehouse team to review priorities, address challenges, and set objectives for the day
3. Provide training and development opportunities
4. Act as the point of referral for crucial cases, such as inventory discrepancies or urgent orders
5. Set up measures to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies
6. Coordinate annual stock take and cycle counting procedures
7. Follow proper slotting procedure to optimise warehouse layout and maximise efficiency
8. Ensure compliance with H&S regulations
9. Confirm order accuracy before shipping, ensuring high standards of quality control
10. Investigate incidents and issue reports to management
11. Foster a continuous improvement culture
12. Monitor productivity and stock levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
13. Utilise experience with 5S methodology to maintain an organised and efficient warehouse environment
14. Ensure daily maintenance of warehouse equipment to reduce downtime

Candidate Profile:

1. Previous experience working in a similar fulfilment environment
2. Demonstrate strong leadership skills in a previous supervisor role
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics
5. Familiarity with relevant software systems and tools for inventory tracking and management
6. Health and safety certification preferred
7. Lean Six Sigma certification or training would be advantageous
8. Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
