Warehouse Operator/Forklift Driver - 6 month FTC

About the Role

To undertake daily / weekly / monthly activities in order for the Warehouse Department to meet KPI requirements for cost, quality, service and behaviours through agreed ways of working.

Key Accountabilities

1. Comply with all Statutory & Legal requirements
2. Comply with all Safety, Health & Environment requirements
3. Comply with any appropriate packaging or food hygiene safety regulations as defined by policy or legislation, such as HACCP
4. Comply with all Product & Process Quality requirements
5. Comply with all Housekeeping, Cleaning & 5S requirements
6. Comply with basic asset care requirements. This is a requirement for all operators, not just those that previously had the Asset Care grade
7. Operate Warehouse Equipment in order to ensure the department delivers finished goods of the right quality, at the right time and at the right cost to the logistics department
8. Undertake improvement activities to ensure the department meets all of its KPI (Key Performance Indicators) Targets, such as Short Interval Control (SIC)
9. Undertake training for new skills & tasks within the Department in line with PDPs. The primary objective being to up-skill those with fewer skills.
10. Undertake any Warehouse related tasks, as directed by the First Line Manager.
11. Attend Meetings & Briefings as necessary.
12. Comply with all documentation and transactions required to operate and improve performance in the department.
13. Ensure that all internal customer requirements are met.
14. Understanding of food safety requirements within the role
15. To accurately pick and pack orders ensuring that all stock is complete and undamaged, ensuring compliance with operating procedures

About you

1. English & Mathematics Standard Grades or equivalent.
2. Packaging or Engineering based qualification an advantage
3. All operational training to be able to do the role is provided
4. Appropriate FLT License with Keg Clamp experience an advantage
5. Computer Literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
6. Picking experience desirable
