Job description

Warehouse Operator (Day shift & Evening shift) - Clinical Services

CPL have partnered with ALMAC Group to recruit for a Warehouse Operator to join their team on a temporary, on-going contract.

Pay Rate:

  1. Day Shift - £13.69ph
  2. Evening Shift - £15.98ph (This pay rate is inclusive of a basic rate of £13.69 plus 16.7% shift allowance for working evening shift)

Location: ALMAC Global Headquarters, Craigavon

Benefits: 34 days holiday per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Day Shift - 0730 to 15.30, Mon to Fri
Evening Shift - 1530 to 2330, Mon to Fri

OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE:

The post holder is responsible for carrying out all material handling and inventory control activities required within a standard computerised warehouse environment servicing a manufacturing/distribution operation. They will be responsible for the receipt of material, picking and processing of work orders, material move orders and all other material requests. They will ensure that levels of customer service, stock control and cGMP compliance are maintained to the highest possible standards.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Adhere to the relevant operational instructions as detailed in the appropriate SOP’s and report any procedural non-compliances to Supervisors.
  2. Ensure that all activities are carried out in a well organised, clean and tidy manner satisfying cGMP at all times.
  3. Assist with the movement and checking of material received into the warehouse, completion of all goods inward and inspection procedures and the movement and storage of this material to the appropriate areas.
  4. Ensure the accurate and correct issue and receipt of material to and from Production, in line with their requirements and procedures.
  5. Ensure the return of material from clinical sites is received and processed in line with Drug Return Instructions.
  6. Accurately pick and process material which has been approved for destruction.
  7. Perform the timely and safe transfer of material between Warehouse facilities as necessary.
  8. Ensure all material is labelled, stored correctly and properly protected against damage or deterioration. All stock must be located properly with storage locations being accurately recorded on the relevant system.
  9. Accurately maintain all the relevant paperwork and stock records employed throughout the Warehouse operation.
  10. Ensure that all computer transactions for which the Warehouse have responsibility for completing are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
  11. Use forklift trucks and material handling equipment safely and competently. Where formal training is required for the operation of such equipment this will be provided by the Company.
  12. Ensure that high standards of housekeeping within the area are maintained to ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and to ensure that the work area is considered ‘Audit Ready’ at all times.
  13. Assist with the physical sampling of clinical trial material and components and the corresponding electronic transactions.
  14. Perform Cycle counts and endeavour to diagnose and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. GCSE Mathematics and English Language at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  2. OR
  3. Significant relevant experience in a warehousing role.
  4. Proven ability to follow written work instructions.
  5. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  6. Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment.
  7. Ability to demonstrate awareness of importance of Health and Safety.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENT:

  1. Counterbalance or Reach Forklift licence (ITSSAR or RTITB accreditation).
  2. Full clean driving licence.
