Driver Hire Basingstoke are recruiting for Forklift Driver/Warehouse operative to join our client’s team. Our client specialises in Packaging & Print - They are a dynamic and forward-thinking company supplying quality high end printed items to customers across the UK, EU & Worldwide.

This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic company and help to maintain general housekeeping duties within the warehouse including: goods in & out, stock control, stock rotation, cleanliness, tidiness and compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.

Duties:

1. Carry out quality checks & stock counts on all incoming stock and outgoing orders whilst adhering to stock management guidelines to ensure accuracy.
2. Carry out daily checks on the forklift truck and other mechanical equipment and report all defects to the Manager.
3. Deal with customers & colleagues in a professional and knowledgeable way.
4. Picking and packing orders.
5. Booking couriers.
6. Preparing orders for shipment.
7. Carry out daily tasks as set out by the Production Manager.
8. Understanding of customer stock levels and stock locations - Ensuring goods in are receipted, stock counted and stored in correct stock locations.

Requirements:

1. Hold a current forklift licence.
2. Ideal with dispatcher experience.
3. Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
4. Good command of spoken and written English.
5. Ability to work on own initiative.
6. Planning and organising skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. A desire for continuous personal and professional development.
9. Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Hours and pay:

Salary £11.68 - £12.33 per hour (Advance holiday payment).

Shifts are Monday – Friday 8.30am-5.30pm.

Overtime paid at a premium rate after 8 hours worked per day.
