Warehouse Operative

Candidates who are looking to work in a clean, dry and tidy warehouse environment will be attracted by this job! Working as part of a large temporary team, you will be packaging clothing garments ready for dispatch for student graduation ceremonies. This role requires you to be standing for the entirety of the shift, and on odd occasions, there may be a need to assist in moving heavy bins into the loading bay; therefore, being of fit health is important for this role.

Start: ASAP

Location: Waterbeach, Cambridge

Warehouse Hours: 7am - 4pm Monday - Thursday, 7am - 1pm Friday

Hourly Rate: £12.21 Per Hour + Holiday Pay (PAYE)

OVERTIME: In the Warehouse, Overtime is required during peak season which is paid at £18.31 per hour for anything above 40 hours worked in the week including Saturdays & £24.42 per hour for Sundays.

HOLIDAYS: Please confirm all holiday bookings prior to starting your assignment.

What the job role entails:

1. Sourcing and packing customer orders ready for dispatch.
2. Loading deliveries, wheeling large bins around the loading bay.
3. Folding garments into plastic wrappers (up to 70 gowns per day).
4. Quality control of all items on return ensuring garments are not marked.
5. Returning items to the correct storage area.

What the requirements are:

1. Fit and healthy - no previous back, knee, or wrist injuries.
2. Able to stand for long periods of time.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Willingness to undertake overtime when requested.
