Are you a warehouse operative looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and help drive our operation forward? We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent, Warehouse Operative to join us at our team in Sherburn in Elmet, supporting our customer, Sainsbury’s. This is our recent new business win, so it is an exciting time to join!

From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders, you could be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations. This role is mainly based in the ambient and freezer chamber, however a degree of flexibility to cover chilled chamber is required.

You will be working on an ‘Any 5 days out of 7’ pattern, on a rotating shift, covering the hours of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.

As a Warehouse Operative you’ll get:

• An hourly rate of £12.39
• An additional £2.65 for any hours worked after 18:00
• An additional £1.01 for any hours worked on Saturdays
• An additional £1.59 for any hours worked on Sundays
• A fixed overtime rate of £18.58 per hour

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Picking and packing orders from a wide range of products using voice picking system
• Get involved in other warehouse-related duties that may arise during your shift
• Comply with all health and safety regulations within the warehouse
• Operate MHE equipment where required – full training provided!

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Willingness to work in a freezer environment
• Previous experience in a similar position would be advantageous
• Flexibility and a ‘can do’, right first time and passionate approach
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling, and pushing
