Warehouse Operative

At Gripple Ltd, an employee-owned company and MX Awards Manufacturer of the Year, we design, manufacture, and sell innovative, patented products for the construction, agriculture, solar, and infrastructure markets.

We are now looking to recruit a warehouse operative to join the supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, hard-working individual capable of working both as part of a team and on their own.

What is the role

Reporting to the warehouse team leader and based predominantly at our Riverside Works site in the lower Don Valley area of Sheffield, with occasional requirements to cover all Sheffield and Rotherham sites, you will be provided with training to work within warehouse operations and become an integral part of the supply chain team. Warehouse duties will include:

• Unloading and booking in goods from suppliers
• Driving our van to fulfil site-to-site deliveries and collect from suppliers
• Picking products and booking out goods to service our production team
• Partaking in regular stock takes
• Working to given processes and in accordance with health and safety guidelines
• Maintenance of 5S standards and general housekeeping
• Using IT systems (E8) to maintain accurate stock levels and update works orders

Working hours

The position will entail working regular morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday. Night shift and weekend work may also be required to meet the demands of the business.

Who you are

To be considered for this challenging and often demanding role, you must ideally have warehousing experience and be:

• Highly motivated and hard-working with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
• Flexible to the requirements of working within a small team with a willingness to work to time-sensitive deadlines
• Able to prioritise tasks to maintain an effective operation and accurate warehouse
• Enthusiastic, with a good work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work on your own initiative
• Numerate and able to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
• Flexible to work across multiple sites as and when needed
