Job description

We’re looking for people to pick, prepare, and hand over customer orders. Be a part of our team and create a memorable customer experience at IKEA!


WHAT WE OFFER
  1. Start Date of employment will be: 3rd May 2025
  2. Hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
  3. 39 hours per week, working 5 days including late evenings and alternate weekends.
  4. We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

Please be aware that the IKEA Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  1. Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  2. Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  3. You are prepared to act on your own initiative and to participate in group efforts.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  1. You will manually handle heavy stock, receiving goods, picking, packing orders and keeping accurate records of stock movements.
  2. You will break down deliveries into customer orders to be loaded onto vans for last mile delivery.
  3. Working with or around heavy machinery, such as Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  4. You will keep your area clear following good housekeeping practices, safety protocols and regulations ensuring a secure environment.
  5. You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
