Night Warehouse Operative

Site Location: Isleport, Highbridge TA9

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Shift: 12hr, 4on 4off, 8pm-8am

Basic Pay Rate Night: £13.38ph

Due to continual business growth, gap personnel are currently seeking new team members to join the diverse, friendly, and passionate team at Yeo Valley. Based at their stunning site in Isleport, Highbridge, we have several Warehouse Operative positions available with immediate starts.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will work as an important part of a team supporting the supply chain team with intake, storage, picking, packing, control, and dispatch of all stock.

Responsibilities include:

1. Booking in stock as per company procedures and managing all stock-related issues.
2. Ensuring the presentation standard of packed/picked goods meets company and customer requirements.
3. Highlighting/reporting breakdowns, problems, safety issues, and shortcomings associated with plant use.
4. Maintaining machinery in good working order and complying with health and safety requirements.
5. Following and challenging Company Health & Safety guidelines as necessary.
6. Assisting in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring correct PPE is always used.
7. Raising health and safety issues promptly and effectively to a Team Manager or Safety representatives.
8. Carrying out hygiene and housekeeping tasks to maintain standards.
9. Adhering to food hygiene codes and maintaining food safety and legality standards.
10. Adopting a clean as you go system in the working environment.

What are we looking for?

2. Numerical and English language literate.
3. Quality and customer-focused.
4. Able to undertake manual tasks and work at pace.
5. Attention to detail and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Previous experience working in a warehouse/packing role is desired, while certificates in Basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health & Safety in the workplace, and certified MHE experience are desirable but not essential.
