Warehouse Operative

Meridian is looking to hire a Warehouse Operative for an ongoing assignment. You'll be joining a small team of logistics workers in a packing and distribution area, working in a clean factory environment for a manufacturing firm in Cheltenham.

Hours:
07.45 – 16.45 Monday to Thursday, 07.45 - 12:30 Friday

Warehouse Operative duties will include:

1. Packing items for dispatch;
2. Picking items to order and updating changes to stock levels (using electronic hand held terminal/scanner);
3. Completing related paperwork;
4. Checking containers for correct contents and reporting errors;
5. Support other warehouse operatives;

Skills/experience required for Warehouse Operative:

1. Please note a 3 year referencing period and DBS check is essential for this role.
2. Previous experience in a warehouse role;
3. A strong level of literacy and numeracy (counting out items, checking part numbers, completing some basic paperwork);
4. Ability to work at height as the role will involve working on a VNA truck at times;
5. Forklift licence / experience would be advantageous;
6. Powered pallet truck, lifting equipment would be advantageous but are not essential for this role;

Easily commutable from Gloucester, Tewkesbury and surrounding areas.
