Warehouse / Forklift Operator

Haverfordwest

39.5 hours per week - day shift (4 days a week, plus Saturdays)

12.21p/h

Acorn Recruitment are working with a logistics company based in Haverfordwest seeking a warehouse / forklift operative for an initial temporary period, leading to temporary to permanent opportunities for the right worker. 12.21p/h rising to 16.28p/h for anything over 40 hours per week.

Job Duties:
  1. Picking orders, recording and checking stock, collating paperwork, yard picking.
  2. Loading customers' orders directly into their vehicles and preparing orders to be delivered directly to farms.
  3. Dealing with customers face to face in a professional manner.
  4. Placing all incoming goods in an organised and efficient manner, and identifying stock anomalies and taking appropriate action.
  5. Storing chemicals and hazardous goods in the correct manner.
  6. Operating a forklift truck whilst adhering to requisite Health and Safety standards.
  7. Participating in any duties in the interests of Health & Safety, including COSHH compliance, spillage clean-up, and safe manual handling.
Key Requirements:
  1. Able to drive a Counterbalance Forklift, with appropriate valid licence(s).
  2. Able to carry out a manual handling role.
  3. Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
  4. Professional towards supporting customers' needs.
  5. Able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
