Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately read and follow production paperwork
Paint vinyl and aluminum door slabs with water-based paint products
Staining and finishing doors, including top coats to a superior finish
Ability to mix paint using solutions such as catalyst
Clean and wash spray guns before changing paint
Ability to accurately read a scale
Keep work station clean and organized
Follow all safety practices relating to operation of equipment and work processes
Follow all company policies set in place
Regular attendance is a must
Ability and willingness to help in other departments and doing “odd jobs” as required to meet the needs of the business

Working Conditions & Physical Capabilities:
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs is an asset
Ability to work day shift or night shift as required to meet the needs of the business is an asset
Ability to work overtime and some weekends when required is an asset
Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment
Able to perform the physical requirements of the job, which may include bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, twisting, lifting, performing repetitive tasks, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
Must have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to complete the job and safely work with a wide variety of hand tools
Experience:
This individual must be able to operate all of the following equipment efficiently and safely: drills, hand tools, tape measure, scale, and operate spray tools/guns
1-year previous experience in painting, woodworking, wood finishing, or window/door building
Continuing education and experience related to door assembly, paint, carpentry, or woodworking skills are an asset
Health and Safety:
Adhere to all health and safety procedures as set out by the company
Ensure that you are using the appropriate safety protection, procedures, and using all safety precautions when operating equipment or using hazardous materials
Keep work area clean, organized, and free from hazards
Report incidents to the Joint Health and Safety Committee and provide input as identified to continually improve safety practices
Must wear CSA approved steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and any other PPE required to complete the job while on the shop floor at all times
