Warehouse & Container Manager
Location: Newmarket, Suffolk
Hours: Monday-Friday with one late working day a week
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum DOE
Duration: Permanent

An exciting opportunity to join the largest privately owned Haulage company in the UK as a key member of their team. You will play a vital part in providing excellent customer communication, ensuring daily orders are accurately communicated out across senior team and working closely with internal team to achieve company targets. You must be an organised individual with strong communication skills whilst holding previous Warehousing experience.

Job Duties:

1. Accurately coordinate all inbound container planning
2. Communicate with agencies to coordinate required workers
3. Providing strong communication to all customers regarding delivery schedules, queries and requests
4. Discuss future plans and orders with customers
5. Ensure agreed operating protocols are always carried out in line with BRC, customers and Senior management expectations
6. Attend daily management meetings to discuss staff costs, order schedules and future planning
7. Ensure any issues or problems arising which afford commercial, or client implications are brought to the attention of Senior Management in a timely manner to limit the consequences therein
8. Work closely with Warehouse Managers to accurately plan agency bookings ensuring workload requirement is met

What we are looking for:

1. Previous experience working within a warehouse environment essential
2. Previous experience or a strong understanding of container logistics is desirable
3. To be able to work well under pressure
4. Excellent customer service skills, being able to adapt to everyone
5. Confident in Microsoft Excel
6. Experience working with WMS. Empirica is desirable
7. Happy to work to KPI's and target driven
8. Strong communication skills essential
9. Strong organisational skills essential
