Warehouse Admin First Line Manager

Pay Rate: £27,872
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday working 8am-4pm (but must be flexible to cover where needed)
Location: Wakefield - WF6 1GY

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Admin FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse administration procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing administration activities and performance
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• To monitor a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• To review and manage agency costs
• To plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader
• Previous experience within an administration/systems role
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
• Previous experience with practical knowledge of using Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
