About The Role

We are opening a 3 bedded children’s residential home in Barton Seagrave, supporting children with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

We are currently seeking Children’s Residential Support Worker/Carer to join our team. As a Support Worker/Carer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care.

Position: Children's Waking Nights Support Worker/Carer

Location: Barton Seagrave, Kettering (NN15 postcode)

Hours: 36.75 hours per week with a mixture of early, lates and weekend working. Please note that we are not able to support with sponsorship.

Ideally you will have a driver's licence as we like to support our children with access to the local and wider community. However, a driver's licence is not essential for this role.

The role

  • You will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower our young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans. You will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
  • Facilitating social, educational and play or recreational activities of their choice. Supporting them to maintain contact with families or significant others is a key priority.
  • The role requires you to undertake all aspects of day-to-day household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping. Our children also need to be supported to manage their personal care and hygiene.
