Working to support our community of 2000+ independent designers from around the globe, we connect customers with ethically sourced fashion, design, home and beauty through our online marketplace and flagship stores in London, New York and Los Angeles. Overview:

Wolf & Badger is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead our Brand Partnerships team. This role encompasses leadership of both the sourcing and account management of the independent ethical brands on our platform worldwide.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will partner closely with all functions to define key commercial and product strategy to continue driving growth for brand partners selected to join our community, in turn creating an experience so essential to brand partners that they stay with Wolf & Badger forever. This role includes direct responsibility for supplier acquisition and account management as well as brand support and a broader remit of continually improving the overall brand experience and refining our differentiated proposition to brands. This role is pivotal in driving growth internationally through developing our brand and product portfolio, including exploring new verticals and revenue expansion opportunities with sustainability, ethics and fairness framing all decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, relationship management, partnerships and community building, as well as in team management within a fast-growing retail, e-commerce or tech SaaS business. A belief in supporting small business is mandatory, with personal experience or exposure to independent designers or SMEs a plus. We have hybrid working policies and our head office is based in London’s dynamic Soho neighbourhood, where we also have a vibrant retail experience through our flagship store providing a hub for events, showcases and networking for our brands.

Key Responsibilities:

As VP of Brand Partnerships, you will be the leading voice and brand-facing partner to help us find and retain the world’s best independent brands and ensure that Wolf & Badger delivers exceptional service and results while remaining true to our mission and B-Corp values of promoting fair and responsible retail. You will develop a world-class acquisition and account management team, nurture a client-first mindset and step change our service levels for our independent brands and our conscious customers alike as we continue to grow internationally.

Acquisition:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to attract and onboard new brands that align with our values and market positioning
  • Identify emerging trends and international market dynamics, leveraging industry networks, internal data and external insights
  • Build our marketing positioning and reputation through speaking engagements, attending conferences and representing the business to press and trade
  • Enhance our proposition to brands, including through the evolution of our brand-facing product features and commercial model

Account Management:

  • Grow and nurture the brands account management team to ensure exceptional service and support for new and existing brand partners
  • Foster strong relationships with the people behind our brands, acting as a primary point of contact to address their individual needs, address any concerns and be a part of strategic key account conversations to help drive their success
  • Implement strategies to enhance brand performance, including sales and promotional tools, marketing initiatives, and other product optimisation
  • Build out our growing brand support function to provide excellent technical support and troubleshooting for brands on the platform

Brand Operations:

  • Streamline and optimise the brand operations team to ensure efficiency and scalability of support processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth brand integration and ongoing operations
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, providing regular reports and actionable insights to the executive team

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Act as a role model with a service-first mindset, be someone that excels in both inspiration and delivery, bringing a ‘sleeves rolled up’ attitude throughout
  • Contribute to the overall business strategy, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team and own supply-side strategic projects
  • Stay abreast of D2C industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to drive innovation and growth
  • Extensive experience in sales, business development, and/or brand partnerships, with a proven track record of success in retail, e-commerce or tech SaaS
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing diverse, hybrid and international teams; energetic, enthusiastic, low ego and considerate
  • Experience with sales and account management software (we use Hubspot) as well as subscription billing platforms (we use Chargebee)
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Strategic thinker with the proven ability to execute and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Financially astute and results-driven with demonstrable commercial acumen and attention to detail

  • Interest in ethical and sustainable business practices, ideally with direct experience of understanding and handling small business challenges
