VP, Core Infectious Disease Product Management

As the VP / Director of Civil Paving Operations for our client's Polyester Concrete Division, you will be instrumental in overseeing multiple projects from inception through completion. Your strategic leadership will ensure that operations are efficient and safe, directly impacting the company's reputation and success within the civil engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and mentor a team of direct reports, fostering both professional growth and a collaborative environment.
2. Represent the company in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring project alignment and successful collaboration.
3. Oversee project management activities during both pre-construction and post-construction phases to optimize project delivery and efficiency.
4. Estimate necessary resources and develop comprehensive project schedules, including CPM, 3-week, and 9-day schedules.
5. Conduct thorough pre-costing activities and manage job cost reports, including accounts receivable and payable aspects associated with assigned projects.
6. Conduct site safety surveys to evaluate and enhance the implementation of safety programs, including monitoring subcontractor safety performance for OSHA compliance.
7. Prepare and manage supplier purchase orders and subcontracts while upholding company and client safety policies.

Must-Have Qualifications

1. An undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 7-10 years of extensive experience managing civil engineering projects, emphasizing safety in Caltrans construction.
3. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and guide diverse teams including employees, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
4. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
5. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as project management software such as Primavera, Ineight, or HeavyBid.

Nice-to-Have Skills

1. Experience in client negotiations and managing multidisciplinary teams.
2. Familiarity with advanced project management methodologies and tools.
3. Previous involvement in developing and implementing safety programs.
