We are looking for a Volunteer Services Coordinator for a 1-year fixed term post based at our Chelsea hospital, this post will continue the support and coordination of our team of volunteers who give an outstanding contribution of time to enhance our patients and staff experiences, you will have an ability to engage with a diverse team of volunteers, encourage and support their development and ensure our volunteer roles have the desired impact. You will also be able to liaise with staff at all levels, both clinical and non-clinical, to ensure voluntary services meet their needs. 1.1. Support the Voluntary Services manager in the delivery of quality Volunteer Services within Royal Marsden Hospital.
1.2. Provide effective coordination for volunteers in Chelsea and initiate recruitment for newly identified volunteer involvement opportunities.
1.3. Support the introduction of new volunteers into clinical areas, completing local inductions and promoting positive working relationships with staff.
1.4. Engage with volunteers to provide pro-active communications informally and through planned support & supervisions.

Work collaboratively with all voluntary services staff to develop volunteering within the Trust Promote links to employment through volunteering activity, NVC participation and apprenticeships Induct new volunteers and support their introduction into clinical area volunteer roles Ensure all volunteering related data is managed, stored, and organized in line with Trust information governance standards, GDPR and Data Protection Laws Ensure accurate Rotas are kept and maintained to promote consistent volunteer cover in areas Support informal interviews to assess suitability of volunteers for specific roles Liaise with Area or Department Staff as necessary to promote and engage volunteers effectively Ensure all references for new volunteers are returned and robust recruitment checks completed Collate learning materials for induction session Arrange ID badges for new starter volunteers, and appropriate building access All administration linked to the successful running of the volunteer service in Sutton
